California Assembly Bill 2022 requires schools to notify pupils and parents or guardians of pupils of how to initiate access to available pupil mental health services on campus or in the community. Reaching and teaching the whole child to ensure that all students are healthy, safe, engaged, challenged, and supported is of the utmost importance. Attending to the mental health needs of our students is one way we can ensure the safety of our students and support them in achieving their educational and personal goals. Please visit our Bobcat Wellness page (under Counseling) to view how to access pupil mental health services at CVMS. The district also has a SDUHSD Student Support & Wellness page with additional resources. In addition, the district has created a Community-Based Resource Guide with local services as many families will begin with their health insurance for mental health needs and referrals. There is further information about Healthy Families and Medi-Cal for Families and Voluntary Student Accident Insurance on the district website.
